Organic Champagne Is Sulfite Free

There are plenty of good reasons to fill your flute with organic champagne. One of the best reasons to choose organic champagne is that organic champagne is sulfite-free. Normally in the production of champagnes, sulfurous acids known as sulfites are added to help extend the shelf-life of the bottle. Makers of organic champagne do not add any sulfites or salts, which results in a champagne which is much healthier to drink.

In order for a champagne to be considered organic, it must be produced using only organic grapes. This is fruit which has not been sprayed with any chemicals, toxins or pesticides during the growing or harvesting process. The use of organic grapes results in a champagne with a more appealing color that is also much more healthy to enjoy because there are no unhealthy toxins or residues contained in the champagne.

Another reason to drink organic champagne is to enjoy an alcoholic beverage that has not been altered with any preservatives or artificial flavors or coloring. Read the labels carefully when choosing an organic champagne. If a label says that it is made with organic grapes, this usually means that up to 70% of the grapes used were grown organically. But only if the champagne producer has followed the strict criteria required for making organic champagne can the champagne be truly considered organic.
